How Cashout Works

A clear guide to prize splits in Head-to-Head matches — what it is, when it's available, and how to avoid the 25% vs 75% confusion.

Cashout lets you and your opponent agree to split the prize and end the match early. Both must agree; the percentage always refers to what the opponent receives.

What it is

What is Cashout?

Cashout is an optional agreement between two players in a Head-to-Head (H2H) match to split the prize pool and end the match immediately — without finishing the race to the required number of points.

One player offers a split; the other can accept or decline. If accepted, the match ends at once and prizes are distributed according to the agreed split.

It is similar to deal-making in professional chess or poker tournaments: both parties must agree, and the outcome is binding.

Critical: avoid confusion

The 25% vs 75% Rule — Read This Carefully

The percentage always refers to what the opponent receives — not what you keep.

"Offer Cashout 25%" means: "I am offering you 25% of the prize pool." You keep 75%, they get 25%.

"Offer Cashout 75%" means: "I am offering you 75% of the prize pool." You keep 25%, they get 75%.

Common mistake: Saying "I'll offer 75%" when you mean "I want to keep 75%." If you want to keep 75%, you must offer 25% (the remainder goes to them).

Before confirming any offer, always check: "What does my opponent get?" The label shows that number.

Availability

When is Cashout Available?

Cashout is only available in Head-to-Head (H2H) format matches — not in League, Hybrid Knockout, or other formats.

It can be offered at any point during the match — after any game, including the first. There is no minimum number of games played.

If the tournament creator enabled cashout when setting up the H2H tournament, both players will see the option. If not enabled, no cashout option will appear.

Why we have it

Why Do We Have Cashout?

Mutual agreement: It allows both players to agree on a fair split when neither wants to risk the full outcome — for example, when the score is close or one player has limited time.

Reduces variance: Players can lock in a portion of the prize instead of risking everything on the remaining games.

Industry practice: Deal-making and prize splits are common in professional chess and poker. Cashout brings that flexibility to Sacrifice.pro H2H matches.

Legally clear: A mutually agreed split between competitors is not gambling; it is a contractual agreement between the players.

The complete flow

The Complete Cashout Flow

Step 1 — Offer: During a game, Player A clicks "Offer Cashout 25%" or "Offer Cashout 75%". The system shows a confirmation screen with the exact split (e.g. "You will receive 75%, opponent will receive 25%"). Player A confirms.

Step 2 — Review: Player B sees a notification that a cashout offer is pending. They can open the offer to see the split (e.g. "You will receive 25%, opponent will receive 75%").

Step 3 — Accept or decline: Player B accepts or declines. If they decline, the offer is cancelled and the match continues. If they accept, the match ends immediately.

Step 4 — Result: When accepted, the current game and the entire match are complete. Prizes are distributed according to the split. No further games are played.

Cancelling: The offering player can cancel their own offer before it is accepted. Once declined, a new offer can be made at any time.

Warnings and implications

Implications and Warnings

Match ends immediately: Accepting a cashout ends the match there and then. The score freezes. You cannot undo it.

Binding: Once accepted, the split is final. Prizes are credited to account balances according to the agreed percentages.

One offer at a time: Only one cashout offer can be active. A new offer replaces any previous one, or clears it if declined.

Verify before confirming: Always read the confirmation screen. Ensure you understand who gets what. "Offer 75%" means you are giving 75% away — you keep 25%.

No partial acceptance: You cannot negotiate a different split in-app. The only options are 25% or 75% to the opponent. To agree something else, you would need to complete the match normally.
